MMTPT165: For the big REUNION, of course I am bringing my saddle shoes with the RED gum soles. When I grew up in the 50's, these were a MUST! So were the white wool socks that had to be worn with them. Poodle skirts came and went, but these shoes were still a staple!! That is, until I moved in my Junior year in HS..........everyone wore flats and stockings. Boy! Was I out of sync!!
My 50th reunion was this year. Therefore, I think I am the go-to person for style for the teaparty!!
P.S. Inside it says "GASP!"

i might need to get this stamp. my mother wore saddle shoes in the 40's and i wore them again in the 70's. mine were slightly chunkier and had a thick red sole. looked like a big eraser. i loved those shoes.

Thanks for the great card, and the trip down memory lane. I'm just a few years younger, and I remember wearing girdles and nylons to school. No pantyhose yet. Now I wouldn't put on a girdle, I don't care how much I jiggle. Into my favs. have fun at your reunion.
