This card was made for the Fred She Said blog hop that is presently going on now until Sept 30.
I was going for a warm feeling with the reds and distress inks. As hot as it has been here in the South this summer, I have been sad to see the summer fade-hence the warmth I was going for! The flourishes were cut from old cereal boxes with a sizzix die and glittered with bronze Martha Stewart Glitter. Martha Stewart Large and Medium butterfly punches were used for the butterflies and I did them double to project movement.
The more I use brown as a background the more I love it. Is brown the new black? lol I think it is for me.
Hope you enjoyed viewing my creations. Thanks for taking a peek. I will see you soon!

Well look at you with these fancy home-fashioned glittery flourishes! I just love how these turned out...fantastic idea to re-purpose cereal boxes. So proud to know you!! Love the hollyhocks and all of the warm tones that you chose (I hope that you like that Nestie as much as it likes you). Beautifull finished with the stitching, 'flies, bow and bling. I think that I will have to CASE at least some parts of this card - but I couldn't do a true Bearzi if my life depended on it. Love this, big hugz!

It doesn't matter what colors you use Carol, they are always OUTSTANDING. This is so full of sparkle, colors, stitching, nesties and flowers. As I've always said, I could live in your cards and be happy!

Stunning! Love those cereal box flourishes. What a perfect thickness of cardboard! And those doubled up butterflies are gloriously fluttering by those amazing hollyhocks.
