Oh how timely! I hadn't uploaded this project yet and it's perfect for today's technique challenge to cover chipboard with paper!
I used chipboard coasters to create this Autumn banner for my mantel. Lots of glue, sanding and sponging to cover the coasters. For the letters, I printed them out in the size and font I wanted, traced onto cs, cut out again and ran them through a cuttlebug ef. They're also sponged for more depth. To decorate I used a variety of stamp sets, hodgepodge hardware, ribbons, buttons, and prima flower. The leaves were made using the French Foliage set, inking on varied cs, sponging and crinkling up to resemble real leaves. I used my crop-o-dile to punch holes and set the large grommets which are tied together with chocolate chip grosgrain ribbon.
I really love how this came out and hope you do too. I have a couple of close up pictures I'll post as well.
