I wasn't sure what to do with today's challenge colors so I started out making a card for my bro-in-law's bday using a technique I've done before that, to me, ends up looking like a tile backsplash. I cut a variety of widths of skinny strips of the colors (this is a great way to use up skinny scraps!) and took a piece of Crumb Cake cs and added a thin coating of glue. I randomly add the strips to cover the piece, leaving a little of the bg cs showing as grout would. I then embossed my leaves by stamping into Versamark then Old Olive and using clear ep. The final step is to run it all through the Big Shot in the Square Lattice ef. I wanted to just emboss the greeting in the middle of the leaves, but made a bit of a mess of that so I ended up layering the sentiment over the top. I think this ended up a bit more feminine than I intended, but still could be used for a masculine card.

Your card turned out really neat!! Thank you for explaining the details so well. I really like the texture you added with the embossing folder, and it looks very nice having the leaves on top. I don't think it looks too feminine.
