For today's What To Use Challenge, we were to use paint on our card. I am not a talented painter, but I do love using white acrylic paint to sponge on the edges of my cards. I find that it is a brighter white than white ink. That is exactly what I did on this card. Nothing fancy, just sponged white paint over the edges of the card base!
I also paper pieced the pencils with papers from Crate Paper Restoration, too

This card is too cute! Love the paper pieced pencil with your note. Great minds must think alike because I added white paint around the edge of my card as well.

Emily, this is a darling card....and thank sfor the tip of sponing white paint rather than ink on the edges. I applaud you too for going with the "back to school" theme. Love your notepad and pencil and accent twine.
