I spotted a gorgeous Acrylic Smash card by hollerinastamps in last week's WT challenge, and had to give the technique a try. I thought it would make a good masculine card for my FIL who is 92 next month.
Base is 5 3/4" square. I sponged round the edges with Versamark and sprinkled gold, copper and verdigris embossing powder over it and then heated it.
Next layer is some DCWV Old World Stack embossed with Tim Holtz Woodgrain and sponged with Old Paper.
For the Acrylic Smash panel I used green, gold and copper acrylic paints. Stamps are In the Wild and a tree from Autumn Leaves Mindy's Zoo. I edged the panel with black Stickles to add definition, and added some gold Stickles to the fruit in the tree.
HA sentiment stamped on more of the background paper, corners round, copper brads added and popped up on foam.

What a fantastic bg, Sabrina! The acrylic smash in those colors gives an ethnic look, perfect with your image - I like the mixed color embossing too on the card base!
I hear you got the pleasure of meeting Carol recently - how fun for both of you!
