One thing that I especially noticed about Penny's gallery is how much I liked the layouts. Some were from sketch challenges but still, somehow the layouts all impressed me. I again was striving to use something I had already made, like yesterday's challenge, and it started with finding this circle piece I created a while ago, using embossing paste and brass stencil. The layout was condusive to using some wonderful papers. The two patterned papers are flocked and the textured one is a metal 'paper' called Etal (not sure if it is made any longer, I've had mine for a few years). It feels like cloth but is actually real metal. I buy beautiful papers with not much idea of how to use them (I'm sure I'm not alone). I did keep a couple of the colors (reddish and brown), added a stamp and some half pearls. My circle is bigger (maybe too big!) but I was bound and determined to use it. Penny, I love the simplicity of your card; sometimes simple is best. SC195 Seeing Spots by pawallen142 at Splitcoaststampers

A stunning card!! I love that circle you made, and all of the lovely papers (no you are not alone in buying beautiful papers with no idea at the time of how you are going to use them; I have quite a stash!!)

Wow, what fascinating mix of texture and pattern and your circle is so creative and beautiful! I agree, I really liked Penny's layouts and I like yours here!
