I needed to make a masculine card for my son's b-day. He'll be 27 on 7/25. All the stamps I have aren't really what he's into, so I decided on a generic HB sentiment as the main image.
I heat embossed the main image, placed on 2 nesties and added some buttons with thread. I used a MS vine punch b/t the layers of dp and very vanilla. Dry embossed using distressed stripes ef on the lower panel. Added 2 word window punches with brads and that was it. Couldn't think of anything else to add to this masculine card. I want my FLOWERS and RIBBON!!!
This also fits the DD challenge to use stripes, stars or polka dots on your card. I used stripes!
Thanks for taking a look and have a great day.

Well, those stripes, buttons, branches and tabs make up for all those flowers and bling you can't add. I guess you know you've got me on a bling kick. What do you mean, 'Stopping By to say Good Bye? Oh, I know, you are referring to the title of my card. Shucks!
Just the same, your card is a very handsome one. Your son is sure to love it.

Pamzi - oh this is phenominal!! What a handsome creation - love how clean it is. Of course I understand about the flowers and ribbon - then there's the pearls, glitter and bling, but sometimes those things need to be set aside.
I love the subtle texture on the bottom panel, and love love the branch punch, and the beautifully rugged buttons - they are the coolest!!!

Pam, what a fabulous job on your son's card, I find masculine hard too, but you've really nailed it - stripes are perfect and so are the rustic brown buttons - I like the tabs with brads too!

Well, well, well check out this HOT BABE avatar!
This is a really handsome card too. You even managed masculine bling! I really, really like this!
We were pregnant at the same time! I had my oldest DD on 07/30 and she is turning 27 this month! She was born six weeks early; I guess she didn't want to miss the 107 degree heat wave in MO that day!

Now flowers or ribbon but you got buttons, brads, and branches! This layout is sooo great! I love the very organized look of this card and the great embossing. You did a fab job on this card for your son. I can't believe your son is going to be 27! Give him a HB hug from all of us.

Hey Girlfriend you look like a movie star (maybe I should say "princess" instead) in your new picture. I love it!!! What a cool card for your son. I just love that sentiment stamp. It is an attention grabber. The layout and papers are perfect for a masculine flair and the embellishments compliment the tone. Well done and HB to your son.
