I love this casual shot - my son's favourite activity is to purposely make funny, crazy faces to ruin pictures, so when we caught him offguard he didn't have time to ruin the picture! This page outlines most of what make him unique! I computer journaled all the words and phrases, cut them out individually, then arranged them to fit.
I really struggled with the chipboard brackets - I coated them in versamark then with espresso ep - they mostly took the colour but some sections somehow turned out with white spots. So I redid it hoping to get better coverage - same results. After the 4th time of embossing, I gave up. However, when I put the whole page together, I actually ended up really liking them - they had a distressed feel to them, almost if I had used crackle paint to coat them.

That is really a nice shot of your son. The page came out terrific. I like the way your journaling items came out. Yup, that's the way you get good shots of the family--off-guard !!
