This is for today's Inspiration Challenge 293 ~ Maggie Austin Cake ,and what lovely, elegant cakes they are! I chose this (the 7th cake as you scroll over) ornate beauty, Baroque Frame as my inspiration for a birthday card for my mother. She grows and loves zinnias...her Splitcoast user name is lovingzinnias, after all. I tried to make the flower look like one of her zinnias, and I think it turned out pretty close.
I've never used Prima Flowers before, but they're easy and beautiful. Petals are sponged with Blushing Bride and the leaves with True Thyme. The middle of the flower is stick on pearls that have been inked with Memento Rich Cocoa, even though they look slighty yellow...and realistic, I think. The gray and cream paper panel is flocked and so pretty. It came from a wedding invitation I received recently. I thought I'd make another card like this for the bride and groom.
Hope you like it...TFL!
