Here's a 3fer (F4A to use twine, SC, and CC Challenges) I have this set in my "to sell" pile, but found yet another friend who adores Sock Monkey. So I dragged it out and made a thank you card for her. Mr. S. Monkey seems to produce a love-hate relationship and I am equally torn between selling and not selling him. . .
Don't you just love the pom poms that can be made from bakers twine? Here's how I do them: Wrap the twine around two fingers, forming several loops. Use a separate piece of twine to tie it in the middle, forming loops that resemble a bow. Don't cut the long tails from the tied piece of twine - You will need them to adhere the pom pom to the CS. Cut the loops and trim the ends to size. If they are left too long they will not spike out to look like a pom pom. Don't be afraid to chop off. To adhere to card: Punch a small circle hole in the CS where you want the pom pom placement to be. Thread both of the long tails through the hole and tie them together several times on the backside of the CS to form a large knot that will not be able to slip back through the hole. Tape the long tails of the twine to the CS and trim short. Turn the card over and fluff up the pom pom.
Thanks for looking. More recipe deets below:
