This is for Karen's color challenge today. She asked us to use Not Quite Navy, Baja Breeze and Cherry Cobbler.
I used a stamp set I bought last year and had never inked, A Cardinal Christmas. I'm glad I used it today because the bird is a beautiful image. I really wanted to showcase the bird so I kept the other colors minimal.
Stamped the bird in Black Stazon on textured white cs and colored in Cherry Cobbler and Basic Black. Used nesties to cut oval and scalloped oval which I added dots to with a white gel pen. Mounted that on white textured and layered on Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy and more textured white. Added the little white taffeta ribbon.
TFL and I will leave comments tonight when I get home and I always look forward to your kind comments. Happy Tuesday!

The cardinal is Virginia's state bird, and you did us proud with the way you colored this beauty! I love this Christmas card you created! Your bow is gorgeous and I love the dots you added around the scallops!
