My son and daughter-in-law are expecting their first child in August, so I've decided to give them a personalized Baby's First Year Calendar. This has been a real labor of love and I can't wait to give it to them tomorrow at their baby shower. It's a 12x12 14-month calendar.
Here's the cover of the calendar - Baby's First Year. I found this easy layout in a book a friend loaned me entitled Page Patterns Vol III.
Since this will be the cover of the calendar, I went with an 8x10 So Saffron photo layer. This color combo (green, brown, yellow and dark red) is what our son and daughter-in-law are using to decorate the nursery and they're also going with a jungle animal theme, so this stamp set is perfect!
I started with Textured Pear Pizzazz and Textured Chocolate Chip cs layers and added the So Saffron photo layer, which was highlighted with a Chocolate Chip scallop die cut. I stamped the animals onto Whisper White cs and stamped them again on scraps so I could cut out parts of them to be popped up. I finished off this page with a paper piered frame around the edge and added the title.
This is it! The last page and I'm officially done! Phew...

Incredible Regina. What a wonderful job you are doing with the baby's first scrapbook. I'm trying to get my mojo into doing s/bing again. I used to love it b/f cards. Give me inspiration . . .
