This is for IC292 withy Posh Vintage as our inspiration site and for this week's F4A72 to make a summer project. Nothing says summer to me like the beach. Here is a link to the Posh item that inspired me. http://www.poshvintage.com/prod_one....ow1=0&isspan=1 I thought all the colors in the shawl were perfect to use in my beach scene.
I sponed in the sand, water and sky using an Inkssentials ink blending tool. I stamped the images on watercolor paper, painted and cut out. I added Liquid Applique to the ocean to create the look of ocean foam and brought it up onto the sand to look like the surf rolling in on the beach. I added a bit of sparkle to the water by dabbying a little Glossy Accents and springly on a little Dazzling Diamond glitter. I added Glossy Accents to the umbrella, bag and flip flops. The glossiness made it a little hard to photograph without a reflection of the gloss on the umbrella.
