This is a sneak peek, at a Mark's Finest Papers set called - LILACS IN THE SUMMER. I used Monday's technique challenge for faux silk with a twist, and today's sketch challenge. I ink-spray-smashed the background and embossed it. The long panel has the tissue paper and was also ink-spray-smashed. After the base and the panel were dry I watercolored green for the leaves. The butterfly from this set, I colored like the butterfly I found last week. I am really loving these colors for butterflies. I added some gold cording that I got at a garage sale. I got a whole spool for $.25.

This is really lovely! That ink-spray-smash is a cool technique and I love how the colors are so muted. Pretty butterfly too! TFS

Beautiful card. Gorgeous paper and I like the ink-spray-smash effect. The butterfly is beautiful and the gold cord is a perfect finishing touch. Very nice!
