My great nephew, who turned 5 last Thursday, wanted a ride in Grandpa's sailboat for his birthday...they live about 900 kilometers inland from the coast of BC where Grandma, Grandpa & the sailboat live! So the whole family, Mom, Dad, 2 kids and 2 dogs, drove down to Grandma's & Grandpa's to go sailing! We had a sailboat themed birthday party so of course I had to make a sailboat card. The bg is done with melted crayons using 4 different colours of blue although it's hard to tell from the pic. Love, love, love this technique...it's different every time!! The number 5 is chipboard which I covered in SU kraft vanilla ink then used an old toothbrush to apply pacific point reinker. I sponged chalk ink around the boat after embossing it with clear ep.
TFL!
