While I was rooting out my daughters stamps from the storage room looking for Fish Tales I found this little gem and gave it a stamp too. This will be my 2nd submission for the Here Comes Summer HMF #98 Challenge.
My office overlooks the Bow River and all summer long I see people floating down the river in their rubber rafts, canoes & kayaks. Well, this little guy is floating down The Bow on his little leaf joiining in on the fun and enjoying the summer sun.
This stamp is called Autumn Cruise so I changed the leaf color from orange to green and it will be a Summer Cruise instead. The image was colored with copics. I used spellbinders dies to cut it out and added a 2nd one in SU daffodil delight on each end. A MS maple leaf, punch around the page, was used to frame the little guy with SU pear pizzazz. I attached a piece of dk green coredinations which I had run through the cb with the dots ef and placed this behind to bring out the leaves. The drops in the water were also made with a MS border punch on some blue coredinations textured cs. The bg dp is also from SU and framed with SU daffodil delight. This was all glued down to a piece of SU peach parfait cs and then attached to the main card made from a Recollections grey cs. A butterfly brad, flowers and ribbon have been added to finish this off. Oh yeah, and there was some space along the top and bottom of my card that looked like it could use a little something so I added some freehand doodles with a white gel pen.
Well the Canada long weekend is coming to a close and I have thoroughly enjoyed it. And, for all the Americans, they're long weekend continues. Happy 4th of July to all our friends to the south.
