After decimating my thank you card stash recently for end-of-year stuff, I need to work on rebuilding it!
Another for today's WT329: Something Old, Something New. My "new" for this card is BRAND new--two new June release stamp sets that I won from The Craft's Meow: Celebrating You and Timeless Tags. Love that solid-image fuchsia. It's perfect for paper piecing!
My "old"--the background paper that came from 6" x 6" BasicGrey Green at Heart pad. That's been in my stash since it first came out, well over a year ago, right?
This is also for this week's new StampinB challenge to use two different dies and piercing on your project. My two different dies? (Well, if you've visited my gallery before, you may already know that I don't "do" die-cutting/embossing machine-y kinds of stuff. I do what I can with my paper punches and just boogie on down the road.) So my "dies," by which I mean punches, of course, are the 2.5" circle and the 3" scalloped circle. And I'm pretty sure you can spy my piercing. I just love how the fuchsia image's lines are all kind of dotty--a perfect tie-in with my piercing. And edge stitching, for that matter!
Thanks for looking!
Emily

Such a very pretty card...I think you did a wonderful job! I am not brave enough to sew on my cards yet...maybe one day! The colors you used are so vibrant and really show off that new stamp!

This is just amazing. I love how you stitched the card to match the stitching design in the flower. The two really compliment each other. The papers you used with this are gorgeous as well. What a delightful card!

Emzi this is gorgeous! You chose such fun summery colors for this wonderful layout. I do love the dotty/stitched theme that you brought to every bit of your card...your creative stitching ability always gives me a "happy sigh."
