a father's day card for a neighbor-pixxiewacorgi by pixxiewacorgi at Splitcoaststampers <-- card for which I made this envelope
Made this for a card whose dimensions were 4 1/4" x 6 1/4". This envelope's dimensions are 5" x 6 1/2".
Using a 12" long and 5" wide textured white card stock, I scored on 5" and 10" using a scor-pal. The envelope was made by folding along the score lines, adding adhesive to the back of 2" side, and sticking that to the front of the back 5" wide part. Using a circle nestabilities, I traced it onto the middle of the front of the envelope and cut out by hand. If I'd have thought this through instead of just diving in, I could have done that step on the big shot ;) I DID use the machine to cut out a scalloped circle nestabilities out of a scrap of orange card stock, and inside that scalloped circle, I used the previous circle nestabilities to place it right in the middle, cut it out, and thus have a scalloped round border. I glued it on to the card after inking the edges of the cutout part with Color Box gray whale ink, and cut of excess bits that were sticking out. Adhered a wide piece of orange card stock to the envelope, and added a panel out of Fancy Pants Design to the moon pattern paper. Using scraps of white card stock, I cut out two strips and colored them by rubbing the gray whale ink pad all over them, and adhered those to the bottom of the orange panel.
