I really wanted to use this chef with the cupcake and coffee on his tray, however, my mojo got up and left me. I hate the dots and lines around the edge. I just don't know what to do to make it better. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Dani,
I love this image and the coffee and cupcake! I like the papers, the dots and lines and I hate to tell you but I will be honest, I really don't like the black twine tied around it. That's just my particular taste!

I think he looks great... I do like the paper piecing idea. I have cut him out using a circle die cut to just show his head, hand with serving tray, and shoulders. Can be layered on a slightly larger circle and put on fun background paper. . .maybe something with circles/dots. Just another idea....happy stamping!

I love this stamp!! I injured my wrist cutting out so many outfits for him!! lol You said you hated the dots on yours, well I'd use the same color of cs, without the dots, and using tone on tone or the olive color you're using , I'd stamp a background using coffee cups, cakes, or silverware stamps if you have them....I think that would look great. And I would get rid of the black string. I love cutting out outfits for him!! Mix and match outfits. Have fun!!

Rather than lines, you might want to pick up on the rounded shapes of the icing on the cupcake, the edge of the coffee cup and the jolly chef himself! Also maybe a bit of steam coming off the hot coffee?
I find the black twine a bit distracting. What kind of buttons do chefs have on their clothes. Or maybe you could echo the fabric that is in his kerchief as a trim?
Hope this helpful. I like looking at other people's cards and thinking about how I might adjust them. I appreciate that you are open to suggestions.

I like to add rosy cheeks to this jolly fellow by picking up some pink or red with a blender pen and lightly brushing on his cheeks. Also, I have some darling button brads that I always use with this set for his buttons.
I like your dots and the twine.......I would maybe tighten the twine and add a knot or two or maybe some kind of kitchen/chef related charm. All of this said, I think it's a very nice creation on it's own!
