hi there,
Here is my card for the sketch challenge today. I did 'tweak' the sketch a bit to make the card I had in my head for days. So busy and no time this week, I kept it very clean and simple. I also wanted to play along with Speedy's Challenge at Mark's Finest. My card also works for the challenge going on at CASual Fridays here: http://cas-ualfridays.blogspot.com/2...enge-cfc7.html
The bkg. is made using Copics....starting with the darkest on the top just run the marker across the paper.....easy peasy. Instead of adding another layer of dp behind, I drew lines instead. Sentiment is computer generated.
Hope you like it and thanks so much for looking.
Karen

Karen--this is a beautiful Father's Day card. Your brayering is lovely. Thanks for playing along with us at Speedy the Cat's Friends challenge this week!
I'm glad you got the card from your head onto paper. It is great. I haven't worked with copics before and didn't know you could create such a striking striped affect with them. Speaking of stripes - LOVE your 'ribbon or dp replacement' layer. It is a wonderful detail when ribbon isn't just right. Thanks for all the inspiration.

Wow! I like that Copic technique and had never thought of doing that. It looks like it was done with a brayer (which I'm not very good at using.) I love the way your sky picks up the blue of the CS. I also like the idea of the lines you drew. Into my favorites this goes!
