Hi! I made this card for one of my step-nephew's birthdays. All of my nephews LOVE the water and both coasts, so I chose this dockside scene. The card is also late, and the inside tells him to "Imagine.. that you received this card on your birthday!"
I CASEd a card that Michele Zindorf made for one of her tutorials. I brayered the sky and sea with tempting turquoise, just like she did, only I didn't add pacific point. I added wild wasabi for the water, and eventually added white gel pen marks by the boat. I did sponge pp on the horizon like she did. I added the boat and the gulls in the sky, neither of which she had. For the pilings, I began with sahara sand cs. I added wood texture using an ef, then sponged with crumb cake and chocolate chip and added bailing string. For the bird, I sponged bordering blue on his tummy and wing; the eye is a dot of Sakura glaze pen in black and the beak is colored in sahara sand.
TFL and have a creative day!
