This is my first non-card, non-scrap-book project! It was so much fun to make! It is a hanging canvas for my sister, Mindy's Birthday. It is actually done on a piece of 4"x4" canvas. The canvas was not tight enough to let me stamp on it...so I stamped on paper and layered paper on the canvas.
I used Creative Inspiration Paint to color this project. And, I also used a paint brush with a bit of water and dabbed some ink off of a couple of markers. I used the marker technique on the flesh areas, Mindy's hair, and the hair that is on my face...otherwise, it was done with the paints. It was so much fun! This stamp named "Sisters" by Crafter's Companion was perfect for us...and it will be for my other sister and myself in October, too! lol When I was done, I wrapped the complete outer-edge canvas with purple 1" ribbon. I glued it down, and pinned each side with 2 decorative pins on each side...leaving a loop that you can't see in this photo-- for my sister to hang in her home. It matches her kitchen...and it really resembles us! She is a blonde with long hair, blue eyes, and those are the colors she often wears...I have short, brunette hair, and love purple!

I love this. The girls remind me of these old pictures of kids I recall from childhood. They were country looking with big wide eyes. Great painting. I know she will love this.
