This week's destination for Teapot Tuesday is Buckhannon, West Virginia. My card is going to Colton, a fifth grader diagnosed with a form of bone cancer. Since Colton loves fishing and has just been appointed grand marshall of his town's Strawberry Festival parade we are bringing both fish and strawberries to this week's party. You can read more about it here .
I started out by stamping the Northwoods border stamp twice at the bottom, clear embossing it and coloring with Copics. Next I stamped the Penny Black cattails several times across the top half and clear embossed. Sponged the sky. Stamped the big stringer of fish 3 times - once on the card and twice on a separate piece of paper. Colored all 3 with Copics after clear embossing. Cut out one of the separate ones and popped up on top of the image on the card. Cut out the center fish on the 3rd one and popped it up on top of the others. The sentiment is stamped separately in Not Quite Navy, clear embossed and cut out. Sponged the edges, matted on cardstock and popped up on the card. The strawberries are a set of stamps that make a strawberry garden. Stamped them separately, cut out and glued on card. The fisherman is an old, old stamp I have had since the early 1980's when my husband and I ran a charter fishing business and we used it on our business cards, papers etc. Colored with copics, cut out and popped up on the cardstock.
