This is for the Teapot Tuesday Challenge this week. I'll definitely be making another card for Anthony our Destination Station, but this one is going to my son and my future daughter-in-law because they just got engaged..... at the beach.... and they're going to be getting married...... at the beach...... So I made this card for them.
I had this piece of glossy cardstock that I had been trying to do the faux marble technique on, but it hadn't quite come out like I expected it so I saved it. It just kind of jumped out at me, literally, as I was cleaning off my workspace (well, attempting to clean - that's a lost cause) and it became the water in the little tidepool I created. The sand is embossed with a seashells shapeabilities embossing plate. The starfish are punched and I highlighted them with VersaMark and white Craft ink. Added a few pearls in the mix. The finishing touch is the two silver starfish charms. I added a green border to highlight the water and because green is her favorite color.

Congratulations to the family! A beach wedding sounds great - we saw one in Greece one time. Mind you, a kilt (for the groom) was probably a bit warm in that weather.
I love this card - the way you cut the top embossed layer to reveal the *pool* underneath, the swirl sweeping into it and those little punched starfish with the pearls.

Well, gosh, congratulations to the mother of the groom! You made a gorgeous card to commemorate their engagement ... first of many cards you will be making once your daughter in law sees it and decided you can do wedding cards and shower cards and birthday cards and .... on and on and on. That piece of background is perfect here.

What a treasure for the couple. My son, the last of six children, is getting married in July and all he and his bride to be got was, " This is such a happy time for everyone" LOL. The two shells you used as an embellishment are perfect!!
