 These cards are for May's seasonal focus challenge...to make two cards - one for him and one for her - using the same layout...

I used DSP for the backgrounds on both of my cards and used embossing folders to get the texture along with my cutting tools...

Two very different looks when apart, and yet together I see the similarities. Very clean, love them both! (Oh, and now I get why the "father's day" would have been important as a sentiment LOL!) Still, I really love it as a masculine retirement card. Maybe SHE had Mother's Day in May, and HE retired in early June

Oooh, I love it! You really took the layout in different directions with the colors and images you chose for the two cards. They are both stunning. I think it is somewhat unique that the "masculine" card has more color than the "feminine" version--but it totally works this way. Gorgeous!
