My F4A61 "Orange You Glad" challenge card. Wow.....this card will get your attention with the color combo. Definately out of my normal color range, but way, way fun!
The 4" x 4" scallop trim square was a "Faux Mother-of-Pearl" piece I cut down to 4 x 4. I was just playing with different colors using the technique, so I had this piece already done except for the trim. I used Frost White Shimmer Paint and dabbed onto White Glossy CS using a scrunched piece of Glad Wrap. After drying I brayered with Rose Red. It turned out really rich, glossy and pretty.
I punched out a 2 1/2 " circle of "Beyond the Garden DSP" #new Summer Mini# and a piece of watercolor paper. Attached the watercolor circle to the DSP for more strength. Scrunched the Rose Red Seam Binding by pulling out a middle thread and attached the scrunched ribbon to the back of the circle using double sided adhesive. I added Tangerine Tango grosgrain #ret#, library clip and linen thread. I attached the circle with dimensionals to pop it up. Added all this to my 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" "Orange" Tangerine Tango CS. I would have normally used W White, but I wanted more orange for the challenge and really liked the results. Hope this brightens your day....it did mine :-)
Happy Easter and think Sunshine even if it rains :-)

So many neat things about this card: first, I'm so impressed by your faux mother-of-pearl paper that you made. And the scalloped trim gives it such depth. It turned out great. I also love the medallion look you made with the scrunchy technique. It turned what could have been a ho-hum circle into perky and pretty. The finishing touch of the clip and linen cord is perfect. I agree, I would have hesitated to use this color combo, but it is much prettier than I imagined.

Fun way you did the ribbon and I like your cool MOP paper - I still can't get that corner punch part down right although I got closer the other day. Great card Nancy!

Just beautiful, Nancy! I love the rose red trim gathered around the outside of the circle. The color combo is wonderful and the little clip is really fun!
