This card is for my sister and brother-in-law who lost their son four years ago to suicide. Each shell is a unique and beautiful treasure, just like Matt was to all of us.
This is the first color challenge I have done in awhile because I finally ordered a bunch of the new color ink and papers. It was great that Betty made the dessert option to make your own DP with stamps. I have so many great BG stamps that I neglect and I like the effect I achieved with the BG stamps on this card. I stamped the shells in Vanilla, then embossed with white EP (I rubbed it with a little bit of brown Stazon to try to tone down the white EP a little so it looked more ivory -- is there such a thing as Ivory or Vanilla EP??), then I used a marker and blender pen to watercolor the shells. I just bought that button on Etsy and thought the texture and color looked great with the shells.

You pulled the color challenge off beautifully.
Beautifully done card, the sentiment and story is too close to my heart, so I am sure it will be treasured by it's recipients - Blessings to you all.

Can't believe I haven't commented on this - I Favorited it and keep coming back to it. It's so nice in it's simplicity, it's colors and it's meaning. I'm re-creating my own version of it for a sympathy card for the husband of a friend who died suddenly and very unexpectedly just a few days ago. He lived near the Bay down here in Maryland and was a fisherman. Thought this would make a very fitting card. Thanks for such a wonderful piece of inspiration.
