I'm on a day off tomorrow and hope to find time then to make something more creative. For a quick card today, what was easier than to take a photo of one of DH's several guitars. I hope Tom will like this one - it's the first one DH got; it used to be my brother's, and before that it belonged to the guy who did the pyrography job on it. It's a Suzuki 12-string with a fabulous tone but re-stringing it is a two-man job and a pain even then.
Photo printed on 6x4 paper, stuck to a card base and trimmed round the right-hand edge. I added a silver half-pearl to the dragon's eye, and stamped Music Notes on the inside behind the cutaway edge. I wasn't surprised to read that Tom likes guitar - seems to me that all the Down Syndrome guys I have ever known love music in one form or another. I can think of one who is a pretty good drummer - but then he had a very talented big brother to teach him .

This is a WOW!! Great photo of this guitar!! Isn't it nice when our DH's have the tools we need to do a challenge! And a 12 string to boot!! It may be a challenge to re-string, but oh the sound is so sweet!! It's interesting how these guitars get traded and passed along, they can have such a history!
Tom is going to flip over this card!! Air guitar and happy dance, that house will be a rockin"!

What a beautiful guitar! The artwork is fantastic, and I'd really love to hear your DH play it! I love the sound of a 12 string. Tom will really love this beauty!

Oh my goodness is Tom going to like this photo! Erik has given Tom a guitar and he plays pretend rock star all the time. Thank you so much, Sabrina for adding to Tom's excitement.
Oh Sabrina this guitar is beautiful. I think this is a great card. I love the history behind the insturment. I am a music lover but can't sing or play anything! Now I'm good at singing with the radio...NOT!!!!! I think this is an awesome card and Tom will love it.

That guitar is a thing of beauty. There was a time in my life when I thought of guitar lessons and if I had I would loved to have played this. Much more portable than my piano!
