I made this journal/diary page this morning (scrapbook page, if you want to call it that – it’s all the same thing to me .
It was inspired by a few challenges. First, I was thinking of four SU! CreativeCrew Challenges from April and March: Use Punches (die cuts); Use the watercolor technique; Make a scrapbook page with no dsp; and Honor Mother Earth by altering/re-use (I used an old stamp, a gift bag, and retired basic brown ink)
I kept a similar design, and kept the focus on the sun. The quote has a sun, and the image has the sun.
The writing is a quote from a book I am reading daily in my meditations. The quote is from Julia Cameron, and she has really helped me get in touch with my creativity over the years.
Serenity Stamping, for sure.
This isn’t my best artwork. I had the layout all figured out and then forgot to leave placement for the letters. The image I colored was intended to be the “practice/prototype” image but then I thought it was ok enough for a journal page and didn’t go back to make it “perfect.” Plus, that is kinda the point of the page (“I accept myself as I am today without the need for perfection”). The experience was really just that, an experience. Not an output per se
Thanks for looking.
