Hello! This card was made for today's Free 4 All Challenge: Hello Sunshine.
Now, I have to say this, and you will think we are crazy for doing this, but Mark, Markie and I have TOO much to do on Saturday. So, we decided to CLEAN THE CARPETS in our home, tonight...Yes! we started at 8PM! And, bless those two guys, they finished up 40 minutes ago! (It's now 11:50PM on Thursday!) Oh, and we only have wall to wall carpets in Markie's room and my stampin' room. The other rooms are area rugs...And, those take FOREVER to clean. I have to say, those guys worked REALLY hard. Oh, Markie is off school for the next week, and on Saturday, they are going to a Comic Con in Orlando. Me? I'm going to be WORKING! Gasp! I'm going to miss Comic Con! (*add in eyeroll here! Believe me, I'd rather MISS the event than attend. Not that there is anything wrong with attending...I'd just rather stay home and read a BOOK... And, the book could be, "How To Dispose of Belly Button Lint!") Heeheehee!
I wanted to use this stamp today. And, I know it's the same one that Dawn, the challenge hostess used. However, I colored this one in, BIG TIME! I stamped the image in Noir Palette ink and used a Heat tool to set the ink. Next, I used Memento markers to color in areas, and then an aqua painter to blend.
Finished card size: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Total time to complete: 33 minutes

LOVE your card and story Faith! It would take me forever to color, really color like you do! Over-the-top!
As for Comic Con, saw that last year in Orlando, while at youngest DDs National Dance Competition! Had never even heard of it before seeing it and it really was a sight to see!
Although, I have to admit, once was enough, since I am just not into that, but I could equate it for guys to what stamping and cardmaking is to us girls! Agree?

What a bright and cheery card to see on this very cold morning - it's not even daylight here, but soon the dawn will break and it's going to be cloudy today so I hope we see some sun!!
