I created this card for today's tutorial (Julie Warner created it and it rocks!) with new Whimsy stamps.
Currently I am loving coloring with soft colored copics like these.
The tiles were first scored into 1 1/4" squares, then cut down to fit the scallop frame. Can you tell this card was not planned out beforehand? LOL....I think it still works though.

This is my very first post on SCS as I am a new member. I am afraid I will be spending way toooo much time on here. As a music lover this card rocks!!!!! I am surely going to give this technique a try. This just proves planning is somethimes overrated and flying by the seat of your pants sometimes pays off. Just BEAUTIFUL!!!

I like the way you distressed inside the grouting on the stamping and left the grout white! The overall card is beautiful! I have only used punched squares (plain or scalloped) to "tile" cards, coloring or leaving the "grout" white. This scoring and stamping to create the tiling is easier and looks better ... and the less I have to line up straight, the better (heehee)! I will definitely try it! Thanks for the great inspiration!
