I wanted to make a card that was Clean and Simple, and this card fit the bill. I used a new technique I learned at a class I took 2 weeks ago. You heat emboss the image with white embossing powder and then watercolor the image that is left clean. I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks and an aqua flo brush. I also learned how to paint paper flowers, so I took 3 white paper flowers and painted them the same color as the birds in the stamped image.
I guess you can see I have come to love the direct to paper ink swipe down the side of the cardstock. I just love how it seems to add a little punch to an otherwise plain white card. Popped up the image, added the flowers - and it's done!
Sure hope you like it, and I always appreciate your comments.

Wasn't that a wonderful class! I love the technique too. I like the way you cut the image into four squares and then put it on the purple. I think I may have to a card the same way.

Oh what a beauty! I really like the swipe down the side, must try that. Your blue flowers looks fantastic the same colour as the birds. Thankyou very much for being inspired by one of my cards.
