Clear, See-Through, Acetate, Transparency was our theme today. It's so much fun to see what everyone comes up with! Amazing talent in this group! We always have so much fun!
This is Gillian's creation. This is a clear packing tape image transfer technique. Today's images came from Grahics 45 collage sheet on the Boardwalk, and a Gentleman's prospective. Clear packing tape is placed directly on an image and sealed tight with a bone folder, or something like a credit card. Cover all of image by over-lapping the tape to cover the entire image. I overlapped this on both sides and you can't tell it's overlapped! Seal it tight, then soak the image in warm water for about 2 to five minutes. Then take out image and gently rub off the paper backing. You can tell when you get close because the pulp will ball up and come completely off. Soak again for stubborn pulp spots. This doesn't take all that long. Once all the pulp is rubbed off you now have a transparent image! Great to use so you can see behind it! You can adhere this image over print, script, or designer papers. Dry image on paper towleling, and you can use adhere immediately to paper or other desired surfaces.
