Hi! This card was made for today's Inspiration Challenge: Fossil. I chose these Printed Bobbin Spools as my inspiration. Actually, I took one look at those babies and I knew I would have to use this stamp set.
I made some cards a few years ago that were, well...duds. They were HORRIBLE. However, they had LOTS of embellishments on them, and I couldn't just throw them away. So, they landed in my "Cards that have gone Terribly WRONG" bin. It's pretty darn full, and I decided that for the next few months, I'm going to go through the bin and sneak out pieces and parts to make new cards.
A friend of mine asked if I could make a "safari" card for her boss, as her boss and her family were going on a safari for 2 weeks next month. Well, I found this flower/ribbon thing glued to a really UGLY card and decided it would do nicely for a "ladies'" safari card. I added in some bling for this week's Stampin' B's Challenge.
The sun was made with a reverse mask and Copic Airbrush. I stamped in the images with Adirondack's Espresso. I had a few thin strips of that striped dp, so I put it at the bottom edge to work as a "border" for this week's Free 4 All Challenge, too.
Finished card size: 5 1/2" x 4 1/4"
Total time to complete: 40 minutes.

Absolutely COOL! Well, now you've done it! I have been trying to save $ and you go and make an African set with giraffes.....Naughty! Now I have to get over to MFP and do something about that..... (it is an awesome set!)
Love your card, and the gorgeous warm colors. Neat layout too!

As usual your coloring is STUNNIN! Love this set - great for masculine cards! And I thought I was the only one who "recycled bad cards" for their parts! I guess we are "chop shops" for crafters!
