This is for the Tuesday Teaparty. This week our cards are going out to Roxie of the Sketch Challenge here at SCS. Roxie has done well over 300 sketch challenges. Where does she get all these ideas...
This Tea party is based on dancing. I chose a western theme. This was the hardest challenge for me to date. I finally decided on a western theme, since I have had a hankerin' to use my cowboy boots stamp.
I copied the music from an old Elton John and Bernie Taupin songbook; Roy Rogers. This was distressed; crumpled, whetted and inked to give it an old look like the book of songs from the 70s looks.
The boots were inked in various colors, embossed and colored with Tombow markers.
The sentiment or title is done on the computer in the Lucida Handwriting font.
The light blue c/s has a nice leather texture, that you really can't see in this photo, but Roxie will when she gets this card.
Inside are lyrics from the Country Comfort song by Elton John and Bernie Taupin. A big Thank you to them for the wonderful artists they are!!
Sorry, I didn't go with any sketch challenges for this card. It was hard enough to come up with a viable idea in the first place. I wanted to do something with big hair, but I don't have any stamps like that. Guess I could have used old photos. LOL
This will go out in the mail tomorrow!

Okay, now all you guys get in a line! And when Jennifer says hit it, that means we all move to the right, to the right! The other right.....okay, yah, that way...now when you do that dip down and do a little scoop with your boots.....I mean scoot not scoop! Put your boots back on! Are you kidding me? Do you wanna end up with a broken toe? Okay, now tip your hats to the crowd and spin on the heal of your boot and step four steps back and kick up your boot! Ouch! You were facing the wrong way......
Okay, lets go see how the disco stuff is doing.....and we can get some ice for my chin!
Jennifer, you aced this challenge with your western boot idear.....so much so I am not even upset that I am injured as a result! This card rocks! Snort!
