To honor our 34th Anniversary, I made this Airstream trailer card for my DH. It was definitely a labor of love! I was inspired to make it after seeing a darling trailer card made by PaperInBloom The journey is the reward by PaperInBloom at Splitcoaststampers
She used a Cricut design; I used the low-tech method, a hand-drawen design and scissors! To start, I cut the folded card base from white cs and then added the rest to the card front. The trailer body is made from silver metallic fun foam, the windows and door were made from a swirly pearlized paper using nestie shapes, and the screen on the door was done with self-stick silver mesh. It's hard to see, but behind the screen is a vintage photo of a little boy & girl dressed in wedding clothes. The awnings on the windows are scored and popped up with dimensionals, as is the sentiment panel. I loved PaperInBloom's idea to use bling for the center-line detaling, and I had to an extra bling for the door handle, just because I could! The hub-caps are extra large silver brads.
The most amazingly cool thing about this card was that everything I used on it was out my stash. The majority of the stuff I used on this card - the metallic foam, pearlized cs, big brads and sticky-mesh - were all items that had sat unused in my in my stash for years! I'm still smiling about that!!!
Thanks for looking!

This is really cute and creative! Love the nestie windows and the silver mesh for the screen door! Awesome idea to put the wedding couple inside the airstream... that's a really sweet touch! Bet your DH LOVES this! I sure do!

You were so inspired! I love the "bling" center line and door handle and the striped awnings on the windows are so cute. Great job and congratulations on using your un-used stache!
