These are belated Christmas gifts to my best friends. Inside, are various scrapping goodies and homemade candy. I started by sanding them lightly, then painting them and swiping extra paint for a little grungy look.
My favorite is the light blue on the right. It's for my friend's baby's room (little boy, obviously). My favorite part of it is the flowers on the side--I double layered a white and a blue flower, and put a rhinestone brad through the center.
The middle bright green one is for a 4th grade teacher; matches her classroom. I chained paperclips to attach the P (for her last name), and added a chained word (inspire). I used screw-top brads on the bucket handles.
The last one is for a high school Spanish teacher, so I tried to use the colors of the Mexican flag--however, somehow, I have NO primary green paint OR ribbon. So I tried to mix paint to get a primary green, and it just kept coming out olive. Oh, well, I had olive ribbon, so I went with it, LOL.
I guesstimate I used over a hundred bits of ribbon (at least 35 pieces on each) and I double knotted most of them. AARRGGHH! ;-)

Very cute, and believe it or not, I wondered about the ribbon...So, I was very glad to see you provided the number of pieces. Very helpful. Wonderful gifts!

The ribbon idea on the buckets is such a fun embellishment!!
