Presenting Guylou Inimitability's (GI) ) "Doctor Chuck" digi, prepared for and sold as a Fundraiser for Doctors Without Borders (DWB). When designing the card, I was thinking about all the rural /hostile environments DWB workers find themselves in, represented here by the outdoors paper. The arrows paper represents DWBs need to be ready to go at a moment's notice - ready to go wherever & whenever needed.
The slits in side of the focal image to slide the middle paper through, much like a seat belt, shows that working for an organization like DWB is “a wild ride,” one with great dangers, joy and memories. Considering Doctor Chuck - and Teddy, of course - to be young, it is important to make sure their seat belts are buckled as they go, particularly when in a hurry, as the response teams of DWB are.
The focal image of Doctor Chuck didn't print out as well as I'd like, but I did not have any more time to fiddle with it. I added the pink shadow first with colored pencil #blended with baby oil# to make the digi stand out more. I then went ahead and colored the entire background, which looks better #although it is a little too pink and girly for young master Chuck...#. The sentiment was designed and printed by me on my PC.
