Before February escapes us, I thought I'd take a second to share a cute valentine from last year (ACK!) that I never got around to sharing before. Lest I wait another year for an appropriate time to share it. ;)
I'm in LOVE with this gift idea. I can say that because it wasn't my idea. Every now and then I see something that just has to be CASEd, and this was definitely one of those times.
This was an instance where the photos I took weren't up to par. The cellophane was making the camera do odd things, and I was in too big of a hurry to get out of the door and deliver these that I didn't have time to mess around with it to get the right shot. :( But this gives you the general idea.
The sugar cone is filled with candy (I used dark-chocolate covered almonds for the adults and Mike & Ike's for the kids) and then topped with a fluffy round ball of cotton candy. I couldn't find cotton candy in the supermarket or drug stores near me (even though I swore up and down that I had seen it a zillion times -- don't you hate that?!), so I took a quick trip to the movie theatre in town and bought it there. After forming the ice cream cones, I popped them in a cone-shaped plastic bag and tied them off with a cute ribbon.
I added a tag that I stamped using the Here's the Scoop set from MFT.
