This card was created for the Feb. 2011 VSN. The challenge was to make a masculine card using the soot technique. We didn't have glossy paper, so we used smooth, white cardstock. We went through four candles before we found one that worked. We didn't have acrylic spray, instead we tried hairspray. We only have the spritz hair spray which created a snow-like effect. I kept getting fingerprints, so I just went with the flow and put fingerprints all along the outside. This is a really cool technique. When we finally succeeded, there was a real sense of accomplishment!

I like how you sewed the buttons on the card. I would have never thought of that, I probably would have just stuck a glue dot on the back. And I love how cleanly you stamped, mine turned out a little smudged...
