The challenge here was to use sheet music on a card, and while I immediately knew the music I wanted to use, it took a little while to come up with the rest of the design. Chris Tomlin's "Amazing Grace" is by far my favorite song, not only for its beauty, but for its reminder that this life is only the promise for what is to come when we are released from our chains on this earth. Keeping this in mind, I always try to find a way to represent some of that joy in my sympathy cards, because while we may feel bad for those left behind, those who have gone on are in a FAR better place than we can ever hope to be. I struggled with a focal point, and am still not sure I have it just right, but after trying three different designs, this was the one I liked best. I hope you can find the joy in the sorrow.
