here's my sample for peggysue's VSN challenge - inspiration from your first love or your children's.
on my daughter's first birthday, she picked up the softest, pink teddy at a department store and did not want to put it down. of course it went everywhere with her and was the start of her teddy bear collection. i sewed a wardrobe for "pink teddy." being the artist she is, my daughter would draw and colour pink teddy in various situations. now that pink teddy is 26 years old, her fur is matted and you can just barely see that she was once pink. at one point, i darned her nose and glued her smile back on. since my daughter lives a couple of hours away, i'm sending her this card. thanks for looking.

I just love this story, the number of reconstructions we'll do on our child's favorite stuffed companion. And the image matches your tale so well, very softly colored, so pretty!
