Summary of steps: Cut a 4"x 5 1/4" mat of cardstock to work on. Attached a piece of patterned paper. Stamped the main image in black on 2 different pieces of coordinating patterned paper, and used one as the main image and the other one was cut to use as accents for the card. Framed the main stamped image with a black card stock rectangle. Then, cut out these dogs and cat from a stamped image from my stash, and paced them around the main sentiment/image. After that, placed the cut out stamped images in different places on the card, having to lift a layer in one instance. Then decided the left side was looking too empty, so cut out a rectangle of yet another coordinating pattern and placed it under the already taped accents. Forgot to plan for embellishments, so made a bow out of a ribbon scrap and added that. Yes, creating from scratch with no guide or sketch involves messing up a bit during the creation process. Still fun, though, and I loved the end result. This is my first card, which probably accounts as to why it looks more like a scrapbook page (I'm a scrapbooker!). Thank you for looking!
