I saw the lovely card that Pat Smethers made for this week's Twisted Sister Challenge and I wanted to play with the Sisters too. I rushed to the Faux Silk tutorial so I could make something really special too. I didn't have a big Zyron so I thought I would experiment with some other adhesives. Looked fairly simple, I thought. NOT!!! I found out that I am faux silk challenged. I tore the image on 3 tries, did one backwards and it was the one that didn't tear. This one had tears that were salvageable, but I realized my adhesive wasn't good enough in the middle. Well, I am one of those people who realize when it is time to just go with what you got so this is it. I actually had fun doing it even though it was a bit trying. I will try it again definitely. I added some flowers off an old flower arrangement on top of my DH's gun case to cover a tear and a smear.
This also sort of qualifies for the WT310 challenge to use Silhouettes.
PT - one die set used 4 times.

Hi Nancy, glad you came to play with us this week!! I am telling you, GF, that if you didn't TELL, no one ever would have guessed you had a problem with this one!! Looks perfect to me and I am so glad I had company trying this for the first time - I missed a few spots with the glue stick, just hoping no one can see them - oh well, this is how we learn, right? Love the image and the way it turned out!! YOU GO!!

Isn't it amazing how boo boos turn out to be some of the purdiest work we do. This is a beautiful example! I didn't have to try as many times as you did but I'm glad you did. Especially like that you were able to cover two challenges with one card! Fantastic work!!
