I have no explanation for this card except that I should have been in bed, sound asleep when I clicked on the Inspiration site link. I don't why some goofy things stay in our brain when really important things don't...but I had a 'flashback to childhood' when this purple cow appeared on my screen. Remembered a little verse we used to say. At least it's better than the verse that asks "Aren't you glad that cows don't fly?" Oh, one other goofy memory --> we used to call our ice cream floats "Purple Cows" if we used grape pop. Mmmm.
I saw this little purple cow.
I never should have seen him.
I went and made this card somehow.
But I should have been off sleepin'.
So, it's not a really great card or anything, just a little 'brain snap' I had.
I'll be back in a few days to comment! No, really, after this I think I need a break from winter!
(And, talk about being up too late - notice how they spell purple on that website!)
Just so you know I'm not making this up: here's the wikipedia link. I have no idea what occasion is appropriate for this card.
I figured that since my silly ol' cow is pretty monochromatic, I could add this 'creation' to this week's StampinB challenge to make a monochromatic card. So there you have it!

You have no idea how grateful I am to read about other people's "brain snaps", as you call them. I call them "itches", and HAVE to scratch them on a regular basis... I can relate to the goofy verse and the grape ice cream floats, too. My theory on why we remember certain things is because we have a positive emotional connection to them. I can't remember facts and figures, but I've got a lock on the 1970's Levi's jingle and the Photomat radio commercial and silly poems and songs from childhood and youth, as well as a fair amount of bizarre trivia... Hooray for us both, I say! Carry on...

Oh - forgot to mention that I love the verse you created and I noticed the misspelling on the website, too... Do you have more fun little poems you've written...?

You are so funny - did I tell you the story about my Mom seeing a purple cow? I have got to show this to her - she will laugh so hard! Isn't if funny when you wake up and things like this are stuck in your head - best to go with it and get it all out of your system. I love this card!
