Today's Twisted Sister challenge issued by Leslie (Marleygo) was to use the Faux Silk Technique...oh my goodness! If not for Beate, I would have been lost! Please see her wonderful instructions here:Beate's Tutorial, Faux Silk. Hope you want to play along with us- please add TSC0218 to your key words.
This stamp is from a photograph, titled "Lizabeth" by ArtDeclassified. I thought it would be the perfect image for this technique, and I did not need to color it at all. Leslie, I loved this technique and will try it again! Thanks so much!
I also used the Dirty Dozen theme of "Days of our Lives" because this image reminded me of the days I spent digging in the dirt with my mom. We both loved to garden and would forage in the woods, bringing home flowers to plant around the house in the mountains. Good memories. You can play along with this theme and add CT0211 to your key words so we can all enjoy your "days" too!
Thanks for looking!

Sistah I love this one. How did you do the stitching around the edge like that? Beautiful. Love the story behind it too. I spent time as a girl with Mom foraging in the forest in Germany. We dug mushrooms to cook. She taught me how to identify the good ones; how to clean them; how to cook with them; and how to leave the little ones alone so when we came back they'd be just right. I can smell the forest just thinking about those times. Congrats on making the Dirty List! Awesome!
