I have always shied away from making sympathy cards. It's painful, uncomfortable, everything that we never want to deal with but unfortunately have to during the "days of our lives".
I wasn't sure which way to go with this card, until I saw the sentiment sticker. My Aunt was killed in an explosion at a Mexican resort in November 2010, and this sentiment totally fits how we feel about her--
"Love is how you stay alive, even after you are gone".

Sorry for your loss. These cards are difficult to make but you have done this one with dignity and grace. What a beautiful sentiment!! Lovely, lovely card. TFS!!

What an exceptional sympathy card! It's not depressing, yet it's created with thoughtfulness and in good taste. The sentiment is lovely! I have some of the postcard designer paper. I think it's called "Heritage Post" by Kathy Griffiths for Provo Craft (mine seems to be a bit smaller than yours).
