This is for the new Stampin' B's DT challenge issued today by Lois (Clownmom)--to make a monochromatic card.
I love making monochromatic cards! I used one of my favorite techniques for making a monochromatic card: the Poppin' Pastels technique. I stamped this gorgeous bouquet of shamrocks from Flourishes in Versamark ink and then applied SU garden green chalk with a sponge applicator. Usually I apply the chalk all the way to the edge of the card stock, but this time I stopped at the edges of the image. That left a blurry halo of sorts around the image, but I kind of like it!
I tried my hand at another ribbon rose, and I feel like I'm getting a better feel for it. Practice makes perfect, right?
This is also for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge FTTC105, to use three different patterned papers.
This will be going to a sweet and encouraging SCS friend and fellow Punchkateer whose birthday just happens to fall on St. Patrick's Day. I hope she can thaw out her frozen Albertan mailbox in time to receive all the warm birthday wishes headed her way. (Of course, maybe those warm wishes will do the thawing job for her!!).
Thanks for checking out my monochromatic card!

Let's see now.... If I do my math right based on your clues... Punchkateer + St. Patrick's Day Birthday + Alberta = Me jumping up and down and squealing in delight to find this in my mailbox?!?!?! This is simply fabulous Emzi. I sorta feel like I'm peeking at something I shouldn't see yet, but boy do I like what I see! I was just at the Flourishes site earlier this morning looking at that very set! Love the twine, your layout, the bling. All of it! Hugz!!! I'll be out by the mailbox! And doin' the HBBD (Happy Birthday Butt Dance) when this arrives and thaws things out!!! RYPH!!!
