I remember when I was young while visiting my grandma on her farm in Nebraska, I heard a dog barking. He was causing such a ruckus. I ran out to see what the heck was going on. Well, to my surprise what did I see?.....none other than Larry, Curt's long-horned little cousin with three green horned owls sitting on his horns! Yikes!.....an me with out a camera. Good think I have a great memory. hehe........
Well you have probably already figured it out, today is Teapot Tuesday . It is all about owls, in case you were wondering why the gallery was full of them.....my card....
I drew the bg on a white cs panel, sponged the hills, colored the rest with w/c pencils no water. Drew Larry and the green horned owls. The German shepherd is from CHF. You see, Marie, who is our destination station, once had a German shepherd so I thought it would add a special touch to the card. Hope his barking doesn't keep her up! hehe Oh, colored Larry with w/c pencils no water, green horned owls and German Shepherd with copics.
Popped up parts of the critters when I put them on the scene. Layered with black cs then put on a green card.
Well that is pretty much it. Hope your day is going well. It is getting dark and stormy looking out side. Rain is a comin'! .........TFL :0)

Hi gallery neighbor!
I love the owls on the long horns! Very clever to include the dog - I think you're the only one who did. Marie will love this one.

I can see for sure you took this photo on your grandma's farm, just look at those ploughed fields! But as for believing in green horned owls - you think we're as green as we're cabbage looking ? I love the Alsatian, bet Marie will too.

Now the family is into longhorn steers!! cha ching!!! great idea. When I first saw the German Shepherd I thought you were remembering our babysitter....Hans our dog. The farm, Hans, Larry what awesome family memories!! This is adorable, sis. I wasn't sure what you would come up with with owls as the main characters....I see I do not EVER have to worry about your crazy mind and creativity. I am totally sure Marie will smile with a very puzzled look on her face. Great card, sis. TFS
hugs to all of my sisters!!

Green horned owls - green, you say.....oh, they definitely originated from the island of Ireland and emigrated long ago which is how they ended up on a farm in Nebraska. Like fairies and leprechauns, they normally don't allow themselves to be seen or photographed - you must be very special!! And Marie will certainly feel special that you creatively included two of her interests on this very fun card - fabulous!

I don't know which is better, the picture you have created or the story from the good ole days! They're both equally great! Those green horned owls, on the longhorn are quite amazing to be sure, and you've got the German Shepard in there watching over them all!! I'm glad you went to investigate what all the barking was about! We never would have known of the green horned owls had you not!!
It's always a pleasure to see what you will come up with!

I always love your stories, and the cards that go with them! those green horned owls must be driving Larry nuts.....not to mention all the barking. This should bring a smile to Marie's face! Well done......again!
